Remove any remaining yarn and mark the spot with a pencil
- Thread 60cm of matching colour yarn through the eye of the needle to the middle of the thread and tie the ends together
- Hold the button to the garment, place the needle at the back
- Different stitch shapes, such as two parallel lines or a cross stitch can be selected
- Repeat the stitches approx. 8-10 times
- Keep some distance between the button and the material so that the button remains flexible
- Turn the thread around the button a few times
- Pierce from behind to create a loop

Video tutorial/ hole repair
- Choose the thread and needle depending on the fabric – for example, use a thick needle for coarse knits and a thin needle for cotton.
Tip: Each LANIUS knitted item contains additional yarn for repairs - Pass the thread through the eye of the needle and tie a knot
- Place the needle from the inside at a stable point on the edge of the hole
- Place the darning mushroom with the round surface under the clothing
- Sew in parallel lines over the hole
- To sew, pierce the fabric again with the needle to create a loop
- Thread the thread through the loop, pull tight and cut
Video tutorial/ Repairing a seam

- Turn the garment inside out
- Start the seam between the outside and the inside so that the knot is no longer visible
- Grab a few fabric threads from the garment
- The tissue threads lying next to the puncture
- Repeat until the entire hem is sewn
- Sew loosely so that no tension is visible from the outside
- Pierce from behind to create a loop

What results can I expect? How good is the quality?
In order to achieve the best desired result, we use the original yarns and wool, which we obtain from the so-called empty stitches that each sweater has, wherever possible. We use these materials and supplement them as needed with materials from our own extensive stock.
For damage to the elbow area, we sometimes work with high-quality leather trim. For this, our darning experts only use extremely thin goat leather of the best quality, which, despite its fineness, is characterized by extremely high stability and durability.
It is not always possible to make all damage completely invisible, but the result is usually such that you have to look very closely to recognize previous damage.
