Carbon dioxide , the chemical compound of carbon and oxygen with the molecular formula CO 2 , is partly responsible for climate change. It is therefore urgently necessary to reduce CO 2 emissions in the textile industry as well.
The CO2 emissions generated during the cultivation of organic cotton by the bioRe ® Foundation are offset through projects in the cultivation areas. This means that cultivation is CO2 -neutral.
