The natural product silk is one of the finest fibers and is obtained from the cocoons of the silkworm. The caterpillars transform mulberry leaves into body substance, from which they then form the cocoon. Silk is very similar to the protein structure of our skin and is therefore not perceived as foreign to the body. It is particularly skin-friendly because the smooth, fine fiber does not irritate the skin.
